Tonstad

Large and quiet area by the marina which is well suited for freecamping.

The area is quiet and picnic tables are placed around to welcome visitors.

In July, the boat «Snorre» have guided tours on Sirdalsvatnet every Wednesday. Along the tour, tales and stories related to the places you pass are told. Among other things, you get to hear the story of when Queen Astrid hid at Holmen with her son, Olav Tryggvason. The tours run from Tonstad to Haughom, and strawberries and coffee are served. As a finish the tour takes a vintage bus to Øksendal before returning to Tonstad.

Dreganes

Small freecamp at turnaround at the end of a narrow road. Not suited for campers, but OK for smaller motorhomes.

Verry quiet parking for visitors to the old ruins after a costal fort at the tip of the headland. It is also a popular fishing spot at the remains of an old pier at the site.

At the nearby village Ølen (population about 1200) you will find all conveniences like restaurant, groceries and even “Vinmonopolet” wher you can find vine and spirits.

Idyllic freecamp site close to a sandy beach. Fantastic view over the ocean and the mountains in the background.

In the later years the area has been built up for recreation. Toilets and a large parking area. There are several opportunities along the road for freecamping if you have a smaller motorhome.

Storesand

Large grassy freecamping in connection to public recreational area.

Beautiful sandy beach, extremely popular in the summer months so you will not be alone on warm sunny days for shure! But the area has enough space for everyone.

The area was even as a commercial campsite but are now free for everyone to use, there are however NO facilities at the site.

Located in the small town Fevik near the town Grimstad. Fevik has a fantastic coastline with several nice beaches, rocky terrain and a terrain perfect for hiking.

Fevik has long boat builder traditions. From 1810 to 1890, wooden sailing ships were built and from 1890 to 1924 the industry focused on buiding of iron ships.
